A Tribute to Dolly Parton

Yesterday, the world lost one of its brightest lights. Like so many others, I was heartbroken to hear about the passing of Dolly Parton. Her music has been woven into the fabric of my life since childhood. Growing up on a small farm in Bluemont, Virginia, times were hard and clothes were few — and Coat of Many Colors felt like it was written just for me. Dolly’s voice carried me through those years, reminding me that love, hope, and faith could make even the toughest days feel lighter.

This morning, with a heavy heart and a cup of coffee in hand, I felt called to write a song for Dolly — a personal tribute to the woman whose music shaped my childhood and inspired my journey. My hope is that this song brings comfort, connection, and remembrance to everyone who loved her as deeply as I did.

This one is for you, Dolly. And for all of my fans — I hope you feel the love in every word.
