As the days go by, it seems like life is flying faster than ever — yet through it all, my songwriting remains a blessing, both for me and for the people who connect with my music. Creating songs grounds, me, inspires me, and reminds me that every chapter of life carries purpose.
I grew up on a dairy farm in Bluemont, Virginia, where early challenges shaped my resilience and taught me the value of strength and gratitude. Music filled our home thanks to my mother, whose radio often played Conway Twitty as she danced with pure joy. Her love for music left a lasting imprint on me, encouraging me to sing from a young age and begin writing songs as a child. Some of my earliest recordings were Tell Me No Lies and New York City.

Throughout high school, I spent five years studying music and singing in my church choir, deepening my passion for the craft. By 1980, songwriting had become a true calling — I often wrote late into the night, pouring my heart into lyrics. Twice a week, I collaborated with a musician friend whose guitar brought my words to life, and together we created a collection of songs throughout the 1980s.
In 2015, I returned to my musical roots and recorded demos with Studio Pros. By March 2025, I completed and released New York City on Spotify, along with self-produced music videos that reflect my creativity and vision.

In 2019, I discovered Bob Ross and his Wet-on-Wet painting technique, opening the door to a new artistic passion. Painting quickly became a peaceful sanctuary — a way to express emotion, unwind, and explore creativity in a whole new form. Whether I’m painting, singing, or writing, web design is a FAV also.  The joy of creating continues to be one of the greatest gifts in my life.
When I’m not immersed in my art, I enjoy watching movies, reading, and studying scriptures. Life on the farm still brings me the deepest sense of peace, especially during quiet moments spent with my beloved horses.
